UK visitor visa documents checklist for Indian applicants
For a UK visitor visa you need your passport and evidence that you can pay for the trip, that you will return to India and that your purpose is genuine. Because there is usually no interview, every claim in your form should be backed by a document.

Frequently asked questions
Is a flight ticket required for a UK visa?
No, you should not buy non-refundable tickets before a decision. A flight reservation or itinerary is enough, as long as it is genuine.
How many months of bank statements for a UK visa?
Six months is standard and expected by most decision makers, even though the rules do not fix a period.
Does an invitation letter guarantee a UK visa?
No. It explains your purpose and arrangements, but your own circumstances and finances are still assessed.
