Frequently asked questions

Is the UK visitor visa fee refundable?

Not if the application is refused. A refund is usually only possible if you withdraw before biometrics are taken and processing begins.

Is a long-term UK visa worth it?

If you visit the UK regularly and have a good travel record, a long-term visa avoids repeated applications. If refused, you lose the larger fee, so first-time visitors often start with a 6 month visa.
